One of the our featured components of this year’s Expo is a Procurement Fair designed to offer companies such as yours an additional one day pre-Expo event to share your procurement opportunities with a group of diverse small businesses. Procurement Fair 2008 will be held on Thursday, July 17th as a pre-Expo fair in the East Hall of the Oakland Convention Center and will continue throughout the weekend as a part of Black Expo 2008 (during the weekend, vendors with jobs or will be identified with a Procurement Fair 2008 sign.).

Admission to the pre-Expo Procurement Fair 2008 will be free to the public and the hours will be 11:00a.m. until 2:00p.m. on Thursday, July 17. Set up will begin at 9:00 am. We will also be conducting several workshops for small businesses wishing to do business with major corporations and public agencies that day.

This special pre-Expo Procurement Fair is designed to offer companies and organizations such as yours greater opportunity to share their vendor opportunities at this, the largest event in the African American community. We expect this year’s event to feature an unprecedented number of major corporations, public agencies and small businesses. The companies participating are clearly committed to a diverse and qualified workforce and vendor pool. I hope you will join us and participate as a vendor in this year’s Procurement Fair 2008.
