The 13th Annual African American Excellence in Business Awards & Scholarship Gala will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. This special kickoff to Black Expo 2008 weekend is designed to recognize some of the many outstanding businesses in our community. We will honor small businesses for their excellence in business and major corporations for their interactions with the African American community (through vendor opportunities, community relations, hiring, promotions, advertising, etc.). |

Your attendance will not only show support of the African American owned businesses and the Black Expo, it will also support the activities of the non-profit SEEDS (Self-Empowerment through Education Entrepreneurship & DreamS). This non-profit will be giving out scholarships at the Banquet and is convening College Day 2008. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on the 16th. |

| In the last two years we have honored 101+ Outstanding Women & 101+ Outstanding Men Making a Difference in Our Community. This year we will honor those who nurture the growth and development of our most cherished resource - our children, especially inner city youth.
Nominees should include teachers, youth leaders, mentors, and others who demonstrate a commitment to our youth.
