Dr. C. Diane Howell is the producer of Black Expo 2008. She is also the publisher of the Black Business Listings* newspaper. A psychologist by training, Howell has been coordinating the Black Expo in Oakland since 1990. For the first five years she coordinated the event for the national Black Expo USA. In 1996, when Black Expo USA took Oakland off its schedule she took over as the owner of the event. Since that time Howell has focused on "raising the bar" and creating a well-produced, multi-faceted, much anticipated event that has something to offer everyone.
