MH Hussain: A Great Indian Artist

Everyone loves oil paintings. Paintings are really great. If you love different type of painting, then you must like MH Hussain’s paintings. He was a great Indian artist. He was known as “Picasso of India.”

He led a very simple life. One day, he came bare footed in an art institute of Pakistan. His students thought he was a very poor man who could not even buy shoes for him. But, he was very gentle in nature. He used to talk very slowly, but painted aggressively.

Some criticized him because of his no-realistic paintings like Bollywood star Madhuri Dixit and Madhu Mala. In fact, we can see his interest in artist rather than the art, dancer rather than the dancing skills, heroine rather than her acting. This made many people crazy.

In 1940s, Hussain added modern concepts and movements in his paintings. He lived a very long time. In his life time, he painted 6,000 paintings. No doubt all of them are great paintings.

But, unfortunately, Hussain was accused of blasphemy because of his different kind of paintings. He was forced to live outside of India. This great artist left us forever in 2011. We will love him forever for his incredible paintings. May his soul rest in peace.

Claude Monet: A Great Impressionist Artist

Claude Monet is one of the most influential artists of all time. This iconic artist was born in 1840 in Paris, France. His family was rich with supply stores. His father wanted Monet to continue the family business while his mother inspired him to become an artist.

When it comes to art, Monet used to paint uncommon paintings. He used to draw caricatures in the class, and sold them which made his parents very angry, disappointed. Unfortunately, after his first exhibition his mother died. Then, Monet went to his Aunt’s house to live in. Monet got a lot of inspiration from Eugen Boudin. Monet married Camille. Their financial status was not good initially, but they recovered very soon as Monet became famous. His first impressionist art exhibition was shown in France. Initially, his paintings were criticized, but received huge appreciations later.

Monet died in 1926, but will be remembered forever for his great work.
